In the mid- to late-80s, before travelling around the world and eventually ending up here in Jakarta, I lived alone in a small flat (apartment) in south London, the one marked with an X.
It wasn’t usually marooned; that flood was the result of a burst water-main a couple of years ago. What was usual was the noise of traffic, the trains heading into town and the alarms of nearby shops being burgled.
But I had my music to drown most of it out. I’ve always liked mellow music after midnight, so I made a couple of tape compilations from my now long lost vinyl albums, and shared them.
This one was a ‘hit’: friends copied and shared it more than the other.
Could you upload this again as I’m curious as to what was on it!
The link is now updated, and is Mediafire so should last longer.
