I like glissando for its flow; there’s a certain magnetism in its repetitiveness. Not many folk know that Daevid Allen lived for a while in Paris during the mid-sixties and explored minimalism with Terry Riley (of In C and Rainbow in Curved Air fame).
Steve Hillage was a member of Daevid Allen’s group Gong in the early seventies. The Ozric Tentacles were obviously influenced by them both.
